Tax deduction on fixed deposits

I am salaried employee in private sector with annual salary is Rs.96000.I have an FD totalling to Rs. 160000 and interest rate is 8.5%.My Imterest amount exceeds Rs.10000 and TDS is applied on Interest Amount.Is there a way to Avoid TDS deduction?? Can I fill form 15 g to avoid TDS deduction?? Is employee proof is needed for this form??

U can fill form 15G & give it to bank. No proof required. It is a self declaration form.

 

U can fill form 15G(15H if you are senior citzn) & give it to bank.you should have a pan card
