Manufacturing accounting

Cost Accounts 823 views 1 replies

Dear Members,

I am having a doubt in manufacturing accounts.  I used to maintaing manufacturing accounts in tally 9.  In this only the rawmaterials cost which are used for production is taken into account.  All other direct accounts such as wages, electricity, freight inward are shown under direct expenses.  By doing this way, the cost of goods manufacutred become less.  Is this is correct way.  Please advice.

I think what your are saying is relevant only where seperate or integrated cost accounting is also maintained. For accounting purpose all direct cost are being charged to profit & loss a/c- this is what matters. Lets see what others say
