Confusion regarding my career plz help me...

hello professionals,

i have been doing articleship since 3months in an average firm having 35+ articled students

the exposure i got is only regarding stock audit for 15 days and me and some of my friends were idle for a month with no work in office

seniors are saying that only stock audit and little taxation work is the exposure you will get in the firm and advising to continue in the firm like you will get time to prepare for final and other courses

should i continue in the firm or switch for another

please help me....

Yes, its better to take transfer to some other firm where you can get wide exposure of audits. Stock audit very basic work and it wont be of any help to you in future. Think of your career. Get into a better firm and make your articleship a very enriching experience. Good Luck.

It depends on you if you want more exposure in field of Statutory Audit , Internal Audit etc. If you think all these experience and much more then take a call.

But you think if you need to read and clear with out any work load , then continue in the same firm.

There are people who work in CA Firms with all kind of experience and the work load there is too hectic and they clear CA easily , as they work hard.

Si it totally depends on you.

You can write other exams like cwa and company secretary at any time after qualifying ca also

But take one thing...

some small small

doubts on practical works of chartered accountant

and small doubts

learning excel ,

All these we cannot learn after qualifying

Every body marks us a worthless

So i advice you to shift to some other firm if you are not satisying with the exposure in your firm

later there is no use to blame your self or blaming your principal

iam pursuing M.COM and doing a accountant job in logistics company.

i am looking for a rewarding career ahead..

pls do guide me regarding what to do after M.com

should i continue to a job and make career with experience or should i study further????

Hi,

You are saying that your firm has 35+ article in your office. If there is 35+ articles then surely It will be a big firm which has big audit assignments.

Some times it is possible that you are not aware about the full audit of the company because you are new one for the company. And Please don't ask your seniors about the company, surely they will say that it's not a good company.

If your concern is only exposure, then 35+ artilce firm should possess good audit assignments. Please let me know about the number of partners in your company.

there are 7 partners in this firm and it was also having 6to7 qualified ca's working as paid assistants

most of the work are done by them and noting will be given to articled students that too for boys

its not a metropolitan city i dont know how work will be given by other firms (same like this firm or not)

so please guide me...

As my point of view, vishun you have to wait for the 6 months in this firm, because if it has 7-8 partners, then surely they have some statutory audits. But the season for these type of audits will come after march. You should know that specially statutory bank audit is done in first week of april and other statutory audits of companies done till 30th september.

So plz wait for that period, because this period is ending of the financial year, and every firm has nothing to do except some internal audits or stock audits.

So wait for some time because one more important if you will take transfer, in your whole career you have to mention in your cv that you have taken transfer. You will get the difficulty to find a good job, even you will be lose the confidence of companies in campus placement.

So think about the future and take decision accordingly. No doubt it's a big firm which has too much partners and articles.
