Registration with service tax authorities

Hi Friends,

   I wanted to know with new government notification coming with effect from 1st july 2012. Is there any change in maximum limit for registration of service  with the service tax authorities...? I  believe at present the limit is 9 lacs p.a ie incase the taxable services exceed 9 lacs then only one has to register ... Does that hold true after the new government notification as well....

 There is no change in the limit. The existing threshold limit continues to apply..
