While checking the expenses of a company,i have come across the words, 'Bill booked' written behind or on the bill.What does this mean? What are its implications (if any) ?

While checking the expenses of a company,i have come across the words, 'Bill booked' written behind or on the bill.What does this mean? What are its implications (if any) ?
As per my knowledge, it must be indicating that the Bill / Invoice has been recorded in the Books of Accounts ie. recorded in the Accounting Software.
It must be just a way to avoid any duplicate entry in the Books of Accounts.

Yes I agree with Devendra
Ensure that alongwith 'bill booked' written one reference number should be written e.g it may be voucher no. , (tally), Document no. (SAP) etc..... to trace trasactions easily....
For a better understanding you should ask the accountant of the company instead !!!!

Roshan : i askd the accountant but received a confusing answer.
bill booked means that bills has been booked in accounts
