14 March 2012Please help me and let me know the consequences when a person whose registration is cancelled under West Bengal Vat Act 2003 has issued invoices charging VAT thereon.
Also throw light on the case if sale is made to a person whose Vat registration is cancelled and VAT Invoice is issued to him. What will be the consequences to the seller in that case?

If that cancelled dealer was valid on the date of invoice & tax paid to govt., you can get input credit otherwise you can't take input credit.

Dear Mr. Anand,
Please write a letter to the vat department showing the actual details and pay the vat amount collected worgnly.
Hence you will be safer side.
