It is only a benefit and not compulsory.
Dividend by itself is not compulsory but only a management decision.

there is no any reqt tht it shud be paid only from frst 6 mnths profit, it can be paid based on the BOD decision, but they shud ensure that the annual results will be positive only, in case if they turn to losses, directors become responsible for such int dvd payment....

dividend is not an obligation like any other finance charge.

not at all....
the only requirement is to check future profit viablility.
if such future profit viability is met then company can happily declare interim dividend if it wants to though...

According to me dividemd Final or Interim is not compulsory. Its depend upon management. Interim Dividend is declared during the year and Final Dividend declared end of the year but only if Board make recomendation for declaration of Dividend otherwise shareholder can not make declaration by their own. but after declaration its become debt and shareholder can file suit for recovery of the declared Dividend.
