Most of the books mentioned above are really good & suitable for self study. U may also check this link & read my reply there. It may be helpful. http://www.caclubindia.com/forum/final-books-151214.asp
Base ur studies on good reference books. Use study material 4 reference purpose. Ignoring study materials fully will be a big mistake. No need to buy scanners. Pratice manuals provided with the study modules are sufficient. Also pls dont rely on coaching class notes if u are entirely depending on self study. Of course u can use such notes as additional material, but not as an alternative to reference books.
