Dear Venkatesan,
There is no problem If the board of directors of affiliated company provide you power of attorney to sign such documents in behalf of them and same can be produce before the central excise authority on their demand.

Hi there, I'm working for a MNC in India (assume ABC India Pvt. Ltd.) which is a service related industry and have been deputed to work for its affiliate company (XYZ India Pvt. Ltd.) a manufacturing industry in the same location. I'm in the rolls of ABC Co. and now XYZ Co. has requested me to sign their excise invoices and other taxation related documents. Before taking up the signing authority I just want to make sure that this will not be a conflict and will not hamper my company's reputation with the Central Excise/Customs department. Can anybody throw some lights on this. Thanking you in advance for your response. Regards, K. Venkatesan |
