Can anyone tell me what is the rate of VAT on Scrap Sale for Financial Year 2011-12?

scrap of what? iron scrap are notificed goods, and here the rate applies for notified goods 4% (5% in some places with recent notifications in some states)

i think vat rate is 4% because it is notifide goods. if it is used for final product, manufacturer avail to enjoy cenvat benefit
