1)does she have to get a new pancard with a new PAN no. so that the PAN card shows her changed name?
2)n future does she have to file all tax returns under the new name?
3) will the dept cancel the old PAN no.?

Now the Girl has to submit a pan correction form along with the new documents showing the proff of the changed name.
If any person have a pan card then he can not apply for new one.

apply for correction in name with relevant documents, PAN no. cannot be changed it will be same as earlier and it is illigal to have more than one. But some people have more than one PAN.

This whollly depends upon her discretion for filing returns in her madein name or not.
But if she has got her name changed in teh Officila gazzatte then legally she has to get it changed.
She can just apply for the change of teh name and not the number
Give the relevant proofs for the name change and fill in Form 49A thats all

Hi Rashmi, Save the changes or Correction in PAN Data from this Link: https://www.incometaxindia.gov.in/Archive/ChangeForm.pdf Fill the form and apply along with your Marriage reistration letter as well as the proff of new address (Ele-Bill is very easy one to do so). Any graduate after getting married, need not change her sur name, because, the certificate will be in the maiden name.
If in case one wants to go for a change, apply in usual PAN application mentioning the change (separte column in application form iteself) and enclose the old pan card.
Department will issue a new PAN card incorporating the changes required.

For IT you have to use your father's name. SO better to retain maiden name itself for IT

U can apply for Form named as CHNAGE IN PAN CARD and change the details and can get the pan card with changed details
