can we find out the PAN and assessee details through efiling

Procedure which you can follow is as follows

Suppose ack no is 268254570300711

in this ack no last six digit signify date of filing ie in this case 30th july 2011

then open your folder where you saved your xml file

arrange icons by date modified.

check all file created on respective date and you will find your assesse.

Yup. I use compuoffice online for e-filling of returns. From this software i can get the pan assessee from acknowledgement number. If anyone uses this software follow these steps to know assessee: 1. Go to CompuOffice Online. 2. Click Reports (Left side of the front page of compu) 3. Return filed. 4. Select Date wise & A.Y. 5. Then click to Export to Excel. This will help as this helps me too.

Yes I have got a solution to your problem.

As we people do have many returns, we save all the X M L files in one folder. Just go to that folder, sort the X M Ls datewise and then look the ackn no of all the returns filed on that specific day .The date can be found as the last 8 digits of the ackn no.like123456789140818.
