Hey man, I devised this strategy only after i falied last may with an intention to pass for sure in this exam. I did this PE.1 and did well. In final i didn't have time for planning as i completed PCC only nov 2009. So after the results in january, I started preparing for final with only knowledge about 2 subjects, the ones I was going for classes.
I just got 303 in both groups together will all marks ranging from 38-45, failing in 5 subjects. I made a lot of mistakes in my preparation side as suggested by my friends. Their revision schedule was my study schedule. and their revision books were my study material. So, I thought I should go One step ahead in devising how to crack spending a good deal of time in researching about books and so on. I have understood from where you need to study and what?

In case of SFM, AN sridhar is still the best because he drives you the concepts into your head. I did SFM from MAFA material of padhukas with tons of problems in that, still no sums from that came about. So its better to learn concepts rather working tons of problems in a book which isn't clear on concepts. Please do a conceptual reading. Its my kind suggestion as the way CA exams are proceeding, clear understanding of concepts is very important

@ Monica:

Writing law in your own words may not fetch you the best score. I believe in this, I study less and the part i study i would be the queen of such topics. Any question, I would be able to reproduce the law word by word.

There would be lot of compromise on quality, if we write in our own words.

Eg: In case of DT,  sale of land is not equal to transfer of land. The latter is expected. But when we write in our own comprmises do happen without us knowing.

Please choose a small book and reproduce as much as possible to get good marks.

@ Shashank

All candidates must study the selected cases for may 2010 and the subsequent cases issued.

In case of supplementary material, please study only amendments in acts and not all notifications and circulars

very good Article!!

For SFM have a look on Muralidharan sir's book.  I felt Sridhar is too volumious and Pattabhiram is good for theory part.
