Asset is purchased on 1.1.2011 for Rs 100000. Depreciation is allowable @ 15%. Asset is installed and put to use on 31.12.2011. what would be depreciation for AY 2012-13 ?

Depreciation starts after its put to use.. so depreciate from 31.12.2011 onwords.

Depreciation rate would be 7.5% for A.Y.12-13 i.e. Rs. 7,500.
