I think Cost Accounting and Financial Management subject should be separated as both the subject covers a vast syllabus and evry topic is important and it is tough to cover all the topic at the same time.Cost and financial management should be consist of 100 marks each as there is a vast knowledge included in the subject.

You might be right but what to do nothing could be done .previously in CA (iNTERMEDIATE) we had one full 100 marks paper on cost Accounting and in CA (Final) we had one 100 marks paper on what you have in Financial Management.Due to Changes in the Global Scenario the present CA (Final) syllabus has been modified to include those topics which are not there erstwhile nmaely mergers ,acquistions,derivatives ,Bond Valuation etc. But i do agree with you on the vast syllabus coverage for 100 marks
