Cop holder to act as a director
I am holding Full time COP. I am planning to start a business line along with the said COP. For this new business I am planning to incorporate a Private Ltd a Company, the shareholders would be my parents and my cousin brothers. I want to know whether I can act a director in the proposed company, if yes, to what extent I can act in the proposed company and whether I would be permitted to sign agreements, cheques in that company.Thanks

Dear Abhishek,
You can be appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Company, cannot be appointed as Whole Time Director. however, you can sign cheques, agrreements, other documents in the capacity of director.
