A Company increased its authorised capital by Rs. 5 crores in May 2012. Total fee payable was Rs. 3,50,000 i.e Rs. 2,50,000 for efiling & Rs. 1,00,000 for stamp duty. The company erroneously paid the stamp duty fee into the account identified for MCA filing fee. It made 2 payments of Rs. 2,50,000 & Rs. 1,00,000 in the account for MCA filing fee by NEFT. On realising its mistake, the company paid another Rs. 1,00,000 into the correct account for Stamp duty. The increase in authorised capital was approved by MCA and the company ended up paying Rs. 4,50,000 instead of Rs. 3,50,000.

Now the company wants to claim refund of the excess Rs. 1,00,000 erroneously paid by it into the efiling account. Can the company do so? If yes, then what is the procedure for the same?
