I Wish we could go back to the time

When,

"Getting High" meant "On a Swing"

When,

"Drinking" meant "Lemonade"

When,

Dad was the only "HERO"

When,

"Love" was Mom's Hug"

when,

Dad's shoulder was "the Highest place on Earth"

When,

our Worst Enemies were "our Siblings"

When,

the only thing that could "Hurt" was a "Skinned Knee"


When,

the only things "Broken" were our "Toys"

and

When,

"Goodbyes" only meant "Till Tomorrow"

Childhood Memories are Cherished Always....

When I think back to the days of my childhood…those that were carefree and fun

It’s amazing how little things gave me such pleasure…shooting marbles or

magnifying the sun

It didn’t take money or the purchase of things…maybe just catching bugs in a jar

Or dragging off a box from the appliance dealer…to build a club house or a car

For money couldn’t buy the kind of enjoyment…that comes from climbing a tree

Or watching clouds pass or running through sprinklers…cause all of these fun things were free
