To All Reader and Viewers

We are the Manufacturer and exporter of Iron Ore fines and using the Good Transport services to transport the goods to port of export are we eligiable fro the credit and same can be used to utilised for towards other services if not utilasable can get the refund

Further note that the final product is exempted from the excise duty by virtue of Notification

You yourself has answered the query. The Credit is not admissible in view of the exempt product. Moreover outward freight is not eligible for cenvat credit which as also been clarified by the master circular. Only services availed at the port can be seeked as refund

As per newly issued circular 41/2007 and 42/2007 and clarification on circular 41/2007 you can claim refund of service tax paid on services ulitised for export of goods on specified services. There are 10 services specified for that out of which GTA from place of remal to port is eligible for refund.
