I received a service current financial year. But if I pay service tax in the next financial year, can i claim the cenvat credit in next year.

Dear Dharmik,

Yes u r rite cenvat credit in respect of service tax can be availed only after payment of such service along with service tax..i:e in next year in ur example

In addtion the service should be one eligible as that which is used to provide taxable services liable to ST.
