I am an Individual and not a business, so can I carry forward my short term losses for next 8yrs?
Also, Short Term Losses incurred from equity shares this FY can be set off against any Long Term Capital Gains in the subsequent 8yrs timeline? OR Short term Losses can only be set off against Short term gains?

Long Term Capital Loss can be set off only against Long Term Capital Gains.
Short Term Capital Losses are allowed to be set off against both Long Term Gains and Short Term Gains.
in the your case, you can set off .
