The companies act, 1956 does not state about the qualifications to become a director both for private and public companies (including educational qualifcation) and does not prescribe the age limit for becoming a director.
However, a person can be appointed as a director only if he has been allotted DIN.
The companies act,1956 provides certain disqualifications to become a director . Refer Sec 274 of companies act , 1956
