can a CA charge lesser fees for his work inorder to get work as compared to another CA/consultant?
Whether the provisions of CA act are applicable in this case?
Whether such restrictions are applicable only to audit work or to income tax, financial consulting work also

According to CA Act a CA cannot charge a lesser fee as compared to previous auditor..... This is against the professional ethics ..... CA can be held liable for this .......

hai freind ..ca can charge fee not lessthan the norms as per council guidelines 2008 on the basis of population of city

Sorry for the last reply as that was wrong ..... I told u the clause which is now not applicable ...... Earlier there was a clause 12 in Part 1 of first scedule of CA act which delt with under cutting of fees ...... Now this clause is not applicable .... now CA can charge a lower fees but that fees cannot be lower than the minimum fees fixed by the CA regulations that are based on the population of the city .....
