how to calculate ten root for purpose of calculationg rate of depriciation under WDV method?

I mean to say like we have square root that is very easy to calculate,but how to calculate tenth root with hand .

10th root of X can be calculated as,

=x^1/10
take log,
=log[x^1/10]
=1/10 logx
calculate logx with the help of table. Multiply with 1/10. And calculate antilog of that number.
I am not sure. But It can be the way.
