Dear Friends.!

I am a CA Final Student with my attempt due in Nov 2014. I have completed my BCom.I wanted to do some other course alongside. I was considering doing MCom (A& F) from IGNOU. Please help me with your opinions if its useful or should I try someother course or just focus on CA.

Also , is there anyone here pursuing MCom from Ignou who could guide me with the procedure about how to register and when to give the exams.

Your opinions will be of great help.

With CA you should do other professional course not M.com...........

You can select CFA/MBA/CWA/CS/FRM etc that match your area of interest but M.com would be useless....... it don't command much value......

You must do some other professional course instead of m.com coz after becoming CA,u can directly take admission in Phd so i would suggest its of no use to do m.com with CA.U must go for some professional course.The opinion was solely mine n rest depends upon u.Best of luck...

If you intend to do MBA in USA or Canada,the only useful course is M.com.The remaning courses including CA are not recognized by any university because ICAI is not a university and CA is not a regular degree.Otherwise go with CMA course of IMA USA which is 8-16 months course.they had an MOU with ICWAI that if you pass CMA (IMA) you can get the membership of ICWAI and reciprocal.This course is a bit costly.But it saves you around 3years!

Really There are many courses that do tend to confuse us.So you before looking at all these course think for a while "Why do I want to do a additional course????" If its just to add an extra qualification to your resume Then I would recommend dont go for it.But if you really wanna widen your knowledge,then first decide what is your area of interest.Then select the best course available in that area.
