Atleast take classes for Accounts, SFM n AMA... (for sfm u cn go j b gupta dvd lactures) ..for other subj ..

Financial Reporting - Dont follow books, if possible -- Only refer class notes of any good teacher, arrange class notes from your friend (atleast for Holding, Amalgamation and Valuation). Better arrange Praveen Sharma Class Notes (For AS ..refer sanjeev singhal/padhuka) .

SFM - J B Gupta book with DVD Lactures. .

Audit - Padhuka for important and practical topics (For other portion you may refer surbhi bansal) .

Law - Munish Bhandari Handbook (Plus Padhuka for detailed study, if you have sufficient time).

AMA / Costing - Padhuka (or PC Tulsian if you need detailed book) plus Study Material and Practice Manual (It is better prepare your own notes for theory portion).

ISCA - Manish Valechha ISCA Book plus and Practice Manual (The best book ever released for this subject, The book is a short version of study material, covers all, topics.. also includes examples, diagrams, memory codes....) refer Study Material if you have sufficient time but not actually reuired. Use with practice manual only, .

Direct Taxes - T.N. Manoharan Plus Summary Module of Vinod Gupta (Prepare notes for lengthy and typical portion, if possible).

Indirect Taxes - N S Govindan or rafi for Concepts (Padhuka or Banger for detailed Study and past exam questions)

Definetly, yes. Even if you take coaching you won't pass unless you work hard. Many sub like ama/sfm are conceptual and no teacher can make you pass unless your concepts are clear. Also, most teachers take a lot of time to complete the course and they are so hectic, that you can't do self study every day.

Answer is simple friend.. Opting for Self study in CA final is good option provided you spare a lot of time for studying and you have ample time before exams. In case you do self study, it is advisable and also from my personal experience, to start preparing from Institute Studymaterial along with 1 or preferably 2 other good guides for each subject. Also not to mention, Institute's compilations on previous exams.Another important thing in self study is to prepare notes especially for theory papers like Auditing, Corporate & Allied Laws and MOST IMPORTANTLY ISCA. For ISCA, i would recommend only Institute study material. All questions in ISCA paper are framed from within the Study Material only.

I hope this was helpful.. All d best.

i feel you should go for classes in accounts, mafa nad cost............

rest of the papers are manageable wth good books which are readily available in market

accounts, mafa and cost requires guidance because its difficult to get the insights of the ch......and going fr self study for all the papers would create lot of burden fr u mentally

ofcourse thr is no subsitute fr hard work, whether self study or coachings........but few classes would ease out ur burden
