C-form incorrectly issued

A purchaser dealer has issued c-form for period Jan-Mar 2015 erroneously. Actual period should have been Jan-Mar 2016. C-Form is already verified by department.

Please advice how to get this form rectified.

Give a letter alnog with the transaction details and copy of c form to the Department requesting for cancellation of wrongly issued c form and once the same is cancelled apply for new c form.

Original C Form issued needs to be returned to Purchase dealer. Later Purchase dealer needs to approach VAT dept for cancellation with indemnity bond of INR 20 for cancellation of originally issued C Forms. Later upon persual VAT Dept officials will cancell the same.

Upon cancellation, new C form with correct details needs to be generated.

This is procedure being followed at Karnataka.

As per Karnataka VAT system is concerned, officials require originally issued C form in order to process your request for cancellation.

If C form issued earlier lost or destroyed, purchase delaer can take another copy of the C Form raised earlier and submit the same along with Indemnity bond to process the cancellation request.

work and think practically .apply for new request as they have not issued any form of jan-mar 2016 they can easily issue your of c form of this period.

if in Tamil nadu, any C form for cancellation and reissue, should be applied within 6 months of filing VAT returns. Pls confirm is it in Tamil Nadu ?
