When to make application for C Form. Suppose if machinery is purchased in the month of May,2016 from Tamil Nadu by what time should i apply for C Form is there any time limit?

MVAT officer is saying you have to apply within 1 month from date of purchase and also you need to mention in your return,but MVAT form for period April 2016 to June 2016 has not yet been updated by department? MVAT officer is saying you cannot make application for C Form now is he right or is there any remedy?

If Material Received and accounting done in the month of may then you must include details of this transaction in the VAT Return filling for the month of may.

and for applicaitonn of C Form Need more details

1) Supplier Invoice date

2) Invoice booking date in your accounts

3) CST % in supplier invoice

Please have a look at Trade Circlular 10 A of 2016 dated 22/8/16 on mahavat site.

"Stand-by arrangement for issuance of e-CST declarations for periods on or after 01.04.2016 "

So depending on whether you are in Monthy or Quarterly cycle, you should be able to apply for Form C after you file return. But in some special cases you can apply for Form C even before filing the return.
