Business of purchase, construct & sale of building
Dear Experts,
A Person is engaged in the business of purchase of land and construct the building for residential purpose (Not Flats) and the same will be sold to person interested in buying it.
What are the legal formalities which need to be followed? He has not registered under any regulation.

Registration with Central Excise & Customs Department under Service tax act.
Registration of the project with the State Real Estate Regulatory Authority.
Registration of firm with state sales tax authority under VAT & PT act, in some states wherever applicable.
Filling IT returns with Income tax department
