Banking apps on rooted phone

Hello Guys,

Not sure if this has been covered previously, but does anyone out there use on line banking Apps on rooted phones? 
Am in the UK and use Barclays app on OPT. The only thing stopping me from unlocking boot is that my Barclays app will no longer work of I do
