It had been 1 month since one of my friend had submitted an application for transfer of articleship (Inter state transfer).But till now she had not got any response. Can anyone please tell me that how long will the whole process of transfer take and what r the other formalities she had to comply with?
You can expect a reply to take between 2-3 months atleast. Both me and my friend got replies to our application in about 2 and a half months from submission.
If you get a positive reply from ICAI, then you can go ahead with the actual process of transfer. That involves submitting the termination Form 109, signed by your old principal. And Form 102 and 103 for registering with the new firm.
