Articleship query??

Dear Friends,

I have given my Ipcc exams in last Nov-2013 and waiting for the results.Hope a positive result comes.

There are a few weeks away for the result to come. As of now,I am just refering to my basic concepts of Accounts and FM .

I want to do something which would help me in my Articleship training. Can anyone advice me as of what exactly should I do to make myself quite equipped with my knowledge that is required for practical training? What are the firms expecting from a Ipcc pass out?

Please suggest me.I dont want to waste my precious time idley.

Join a ca firm now as paid assistant that provides u base of what u will hav to do in next 3yr

A good move that you do not want to waste your time at present and get abreasted with basics. The basic thinsg that ou should keep in your mind is what interest do u have to take up in future. If you are much interested in tax then join a firm where tax exposure is good.

Next is that when you are actively taking up your training have an overall expsoure and try to understand at a broader sense. Link up the different areas and their needs. For instance when you are interested in tax check out the provisions where a person can come in various tax acts and also in one act different provisions. Learn at broader sense in short.

Get your self socialising in professional areana. Take part in conventions, conferences, Summits. Present papers. This will help you to make yourself in line with seniors and also achieve a different level of confidence. Start sharing knowledge like writing articles and blogs.

Prefereably this things can be learnt at a mediocre firm. Their are two main artciles which have been a guiding factor.

- Big 4`s, Do they really create CA? (by sanyam arora about a year back)

- 10 points to be noted before joining articleship. ( Just a week ago, Scroll artciles section)

Dear priyaka As far as I know if u r ready to work less salary u may definitely get a job in ca firm Even in my firm there r abt 5 paid assistant with 9 articles U will get salary near 5 thousand in city like Ludhiana

I cleared my ipcc group 1 in 5th attempt is there any scope left for me? No firm will accept me......I'm planning to drop CA, should I ?

Prashant! That's your perception. Infact I would say it made you much more stronger than earlier ones. By nature, you r again seeing a materialistic thing. See something beyond that.
