The Signs are Ominious.........
a) Branch Audit limit raised to 10 crores.
b)Tax Audit limit raised to 1 crore.
c) Not more than 20 Company Audits by a single CA
That coupled with fact that Ca fraternity is already 205000 strong ang growing at the rate of at least 5 percent per annum.
All this is leading to whittling down of works previosly performed by Cas. That with the added onslaught by tecno advances has alrady reduced the advice dispensing capacity of Chatered Accountants.The future of CAs is likely to reduce to being mere acc*ntants performing Clerical Jobs in Big CA Firms or In KPOs.
The future is indeed shaky...................
