Appointment of Director shall be in a manner prescribed under the Companies Act, 2013. Following are the events to submit the form DIR – 2 and MBP – 1 by the Director to the Company.

The Companies Act requires the consent of the director to be obtained in Form DIR – 2 to act as the director in the company. The stated form shall be attached with as the proof of acceptance in Form DIR – 12 filed for Particulars of appointment of directors.

Further, Form MBP – 1 is prescribed for the disclosure of the interest by the Director of the company. Form MBP – 1 shall be maintained by the company itself and need not to be submitted while appointment of Director of the Company.

Interest of the Director in the stated form shall be disclosed in following events:

1. At the First Board Meeting, where he has participated after the appointment. 
2. At First meeting of Board held in every Financial Year.
3. Whenever there is a change in the disclosure made, the same shall be intimated in the First Board Meeting to be held after the concerned change.
