05 April 2012Can any of the erudite community give me a reference to and also the presently applicable stamp duty (share transfer stamps to be affixed) applicable in tamil nadu, for transfer of shares outside of the stock market?
A quick reply will be much appreciated.

You need to pay 0.25% affixed value of the shares’ price as the stamp duty charges for share transfers. The stamp duty on transfer of shares rate is 0.25 paise/hundred rupees share value or its part.
