Accounting technician certificate

What is the procedure to obtain accounting technician certificate? I have completed my articleship of 3 years and in nov 2015 is my second attempt for ca final and during registration for IPCC i have paid the fees for accounting technician certificate too, how to apply for ATC?

You can apply online for the accounting technician certificate. No need to send xerox copy of any document to ICAI, entire process is online and free of cost.

After getting ATC certificate you can work as tax consultant.

After providing details, you will receive ATC certificate. The total process takes around 2 to 4 months.

I filled this form,but i have a doubt ,please clarify that .At the bottom notes says i enclose self attested copies of mark list .but no option to attach the self attested copies of marklist

Yes I also filled the form but there is no option to attach the enclosures and when I filled in again it said that application submitted

i filled it a year ago, i didnt remember it, but click on continue button it may be after that step. or if there is no option to upload the marksheets ICAI may have made arrangement for self verification of your marks based on the data you filled in.

iam a inter student doest not like to quit CA course.....i filled the ATC form and click continue....can i continue the course ......iam afraid please reply....i dont knw the comlplete knowledge aboubt ATC...Plese help me

Karan Does an ATC really make a person eligible to practice as a tax consultant? Can the word Tax Consultant be used on a visiting card based on ATC?

Accounting Technicain Course (ATC), is nothing but the Certificate you gain, when you passes both group of IPCC. it is just helpful to those who are not continuing with the Finals. further, if you have paid fees for ATC, you can get thet same from online. Thank you

Yes offcourse dear friend you can continue ca final even after getting ATC certificate. I have ATC certificate and i gave my May 15 attempt, (i failed is a different story ;p).

Regarding working as tax consultant, ICAI should have clarified about the powers of ATC holder, but unfortunately ICAI is silent on this. but it is much helpful for those who could not complete CA finals and finding themselves at nowhere on the earth.

We can practice as tax consultant, although it is nowhere written by ICAI. But icai not even restricted to practice as tax consultant. But in society tax consultant is more popular thats why we have to use it. And ICAI will not say it illegal to work like tax consultant when holding ATC certificate.

Yes, you can send application by manual mode. Just download the attached appliction, take its print out, fill it, sign it, attach necessary documents (as asked in the application) and send it by speed post to new delhi office. Thats it.

Its free of cost, no need to attach any Demand Draft.
