Hello,

While I am going to submit my efile return for the assesment year 2016-2017 ( financial year 2015-2016) I find some figure in this section (194 a), I attached one screenshot to view this one. Please view and instruct me do I have to anything with this one or just ignore this one. I am a salaried person and all my taxes are deducted from salary and credited each month in Income Tax dept. ( I have form 16 and tax due and paid by me is ok in all respect.). Please advise me as without this one I could not complete my efiling.

you have to show this bank fd interest as per 26 AS or you can take interest certificate from bank

match the income if interest certificate show diff with 26AS den show income as per that certificate

Thanks manoj for the answer, but it is not clear to me. I am a salaried person. Now my empoyer deduct tax each month based on my Salary and it matahes perfectly. Now while looking into 26 AS I find this figure. It seems it is from the Interest on Fiexed Deposit Kept in Bank with my Pan Card. My question is do I have to pay any tax for this amount. And if so how I can I calculate the tax . Is it @ 10 % after deducting ( Rs 10000.00) or something else.

2. My second question is if I pay this tax personally in the efile submitting form where should I show this one.

I pray all of you to look into the attached jpg image and guide me accordingly as July 2016 is the time to submit the E- File.

Interest Income should be shown income from Other sources

and for 10000 which is deduction U/s 80TTA it is for saving interest and not on FD interest

It all depend on your total income plus deduction amount which you can claim

Here is the details.

After deucting Standard deduction of Rs 150,000.00 , my income is Rs 925710.00 and tax on that is Rs 1,10,142.00 and a Surcharge of Rs 3304.00 = Total Rs 1,13,446.00 and the todal tax has been already paid by me.

Now this one Rs 31483.00 ( Interest on my Fixed Deposits). Can u take a look in it.

One more thing while submitting the E file in income tax site can u please tell me where should I put this one 31483.00 and the tax on it.

first of all tell me which standard deduction are saying

basic exemption is 250000/-

Hello , I have manged to calculate the tax to be paid by me with the help of tax calcuator. Now just tell me which challan I will use to pay tax online. I am an individual and I am a bit confused about Challan no 280 & Challan No 281. In Challan No 281 I have not find any PAN field whether in Challan No 280 I find PAN field. Am I right in using challan No 280.
