143(1) intimation for incorrect itr1 filing

Hello Experts,

There was an error in my income tax filing (ITR1) for AY 2010-11. The head 'Income from other sources' incorrectly had total income (Income from Salary + Income from other sources).  The tax was correctly paid for this AY, there hasonly been a clerical error in filling the form. (This was done by a consultant and I saw only ITRV which was correct)

This has resulted in me recieving an outstanding tax notice (Of huge amount).  What could be possible next steps?

1. I cannot do rectification for this online: As this would mean I am changing salary and this is not allowed

2. I cannot revise my income tax return: As this has gone beyond expiry date for filing revised return.

I am lost here, can someone please help?
