    Respected sir, One of my client had purchased Hydraulic Excavator PC71M/C from banglore and paid cst 2 % agst form c to bring it into maharashtra. My quest is Whether it is a machine or motor vehicle - as define motor vehicle under m/v act. 2. do it will attract vat if machine. 3. does lease also attract vat @ 12.5%

    Mr Anil : This in continuation to my query on CT 1 you replied .If i disclose the customer to manufcaturer and ask him to make ARE1 as manufacturer, consignor and conssignee . He send the ARE1 directly to the asst collector of customs with sealed envelope . Thanks & regards Saantosh
