About me

After having served in different types of industries and lastly with NCC Ltd., for about 5 years in Indirect Taxation department, obtained Part time COP on 30/10/2008 during my tenure with NCC Ltd., In April 2011, resigned from NCC Ltd., and started Full time Practice as sole proprietor under name and style of SURYAM & CO at Hyderabad and concentrating in my core area of Indirect Taxes. The strengths are exposure in VAT in different States, service tax etc., with more relevant to infrastructure industry.

We had received contract from ompl in SEZ we subcontract to register dealer in karnatka to execute works contract in sez for supply and fabrication of offspace storage tank we had first time registerd in karnatka please explain in breif of WCT , TDS and all these things

Dear Mr.Suryam ple clarify on this issue can receipient of service withhold the service tax amount since he has not regd the type of service i.e., man power agency with the authority. For example man power agency providing man power to one orgnanisation. Agency was registered under the head of Business auxillary service but not under the head man power agency. On this basis can the service recipient can stop payment of service tax even though the service provider depositing with the authority and provided the challan. Suresh bau suresh737@hotmail.com
