    Hello Ma'm, My client has a revenue sharing agreement with a mall wherein he runs a paintball and go karting arcade. According to their agreement my client gives 20% of his sales to the mall (after deducting entertainment tax and service tax that he has collected on the tickets), now mall further adds service tax to this 20% share, deeming it to be rent. Question 1 - Is it correct? Does this arrangement amount to renting of commercial property as per Service Tax?

    greetigns of the day if an individual is receiving a rent of Rs.55 lakhs of which on six lakhs is from commercial remaing all are given for residential purpose... let me know whether he is liable for service tax or not.

    I have a commercial property rented for hospital with annual rent of 162000(after TDS by tenant). My question is regarding service tax, I understand that landlord is suppose to pay the service tax unless specified in agreement(which I did not), so I have to bear it. Now as per agreement and registered documents there are 3 people as landlords(we are 3 brothers) in other words the rent is been paid by hospital splitting into 3 equally. So each individual person annual income works out to be aprox Rs.5,40,000. Will there be any question of paying service tax? Please advise. Thanks in advance
