Student Conventions have traditionally been platforms of intense and fruitful interactions among students and professional luminaries of the highest level. Varied customs, convictions and ideologies come together in such conventions which not only work at improving the quality of our profession but also to take it to new heights. With a view to providing such another opportunity to CA students, the Guwahati Branch of EIRC of ICAI is coming up with the National Convention for CA Students "दृष्टिकोण - Quest for Excellence"on the 3rd & 4th of August 2014. The meet to be held at Pragjyoti ITA Centre, Machkhowa will be the third such consecutive event at Guwahati under the aegis of the Board of Studies, ICAI.
Our students have always been our strength, the potential wildcards in creating a promising future not only for themselves but also for the profession. Dear members, let us therefore guide our students to view this convention as another door which opens into a plethora of opportunities.
Being different doesn’t mean being afraid to challenge the norm. It means being willing to take a chance, asking why, making your own path instead of believing in the myth of following the well trodden path. It goes for chartering your own destiny and being the person you were meant to be. And this is how we arrive at this theme for the convention "दृष्टिकोण - Quest for Excellence".
Vision creates life, and leadership is that essence which suffices it. So, let us pledge to lead our students in changing their दृष्टिकोण (vision).
You will be glad to know that a galaxy of eminent speakers comprising CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, Council Member, Delhi, CA. Atul Kumar Gupta, Council Member, Delhi, CA. Vinod Gupta, Delhi, CA. Vikash Jain, Kolkata & CA. (Dr.) Debashis Mitra, Guwahati have already given their consent to make the event a memorable one by their presence. After the first technical session, there is a special interactive session for the students with the president, ICAI, and the Chairman, BOS. A cultural programme “Sargam” is also being organized by the students in the evening of the second day of the event.
Dear member, we request you to spare some time out of your pressing pre-occupations and grace us with your presence at the inaugural ceremony at 9.30 A.M. on 3rd of August. Your presence at the technical sessions will boost the morale of the students. We further request you to encourage and motivate your articled assistants and other CA students to attend the convention in large numbers, thus making the convention a historic one.
