nice article. Bt govt is busy in apointing president of india nd today all of them would be celebrating 43rd b'day of Rahul Gandhi. so its party time for them nd they will nt ruin their party by providing subsidies to general public

wonderful article..... but i'm afraid indian govt will never give incentives for saving energy because , petrol etc is the main source of income of govt companies and also, govt earn heavy amount of excise duty on petrolium products

A Very good thought indeed.well there are practical difficulties in giving subsidies to people who plant a tree. But definitely the solution is give tax deduction on contribution to any fund which is actively engaged in environment sustainability.

good idea,but it will be effective only if communicated to law makers.find some way to do this.if expenditures on green reforms or research gets weighted deduction like sec 35 scientific research,corporates may encouraged to go green .

Nice thoughts, but difficult to implement. Selfish politicions will never ready for such change.
