Strategic Valuation :
Associate will work with a specialized team of a top tier IB focusing on valuation of large cap companies across the globe.
Key responsibilities include thoroughly examining the financial statements to build end to end financial models, understand competitive advantage and key risks calculate and compare key metrics with peers,
Analyze the market view on the future earnings and forecast cash flows
Monitoring developments and updating for key events affecting the sector / company
Analyze the Economic data using a patented valuation model to identify Valuation anomalies
Equity Research
Update and maintain financial models
Write a variety of research reports like initiation reports, sector reports, maintenance reports, reviews, previews
Carry out sector analysis and come up with investment themes /ideas
Keep a track of latest developments in the companies under coverage and the sector and incorporate these into the research publications etc.

1. Develop and maintain various US tax related models for a global financial client having presence in more than 30 countries.
2. Quarterly projections of Federal, New York State and city tax liability using the latest financial statements.
3. Model to calculate the Fin48 liability, deferred tax asset/liability & valuation allowance.
4. Consolidate revenue and taxes paid across its various global entities and assist in preparation of final tax returns for the public company.
5. Model to calculate the Individual and corporate partner’s basis in different group entities.
6. Develop and maintain Amortization model for exchange & acquisition transactions u/s 197, 734 & 743(b) of IRS.
7. Co-ordinate with technology teams to build macros and automated functions to expedite workflow.
8. Coordinate with programmers in the development of Graphical user Interface to generate and analyze the various kinds of tax calculations.

Skills required:
In-depth analysis of the financial statements of the issuers, historic as well as the business plan/forecasts, followed by an elaborate compilation and computation of the operating metrics thereof
Bond Covenant analysis
Shadow/synthetic ratings based on various parameters as defined by Moody’s, for various sectors
Analysing periodical updates provided by the issuers, including business plan/forecasts modifications, corporate developments, and additional debt/equity issues
Basic knowledge of convertible bonds
Writing summary notes, business updates, and elaborates investment reports
Financial modeling, including valuations, relative analysis and sensitivity analysis
Participating in issuer’s management-investors meets; site visits for asset quality verification, in case required by the client
