you can write application like this..here is the sample application uploaded by me on cci...i think it will be usefull for you...best of luck

thanks for the reply, but that didn't solve my query. The sample letter posted by you assumes the principal applies for my condonation but why would he?

the application will be signed by your principal as stated in sample attached file ... fees payable are dependent on the delay period..visit icai.org for know about the fees payable if delayed in submission of form '112'...good luck

please, i know about the form(and that my principal should sign it), fee etc. I just want to know about the letter why will my principal write it on my behalf? There is no provision that states my principal should write it.

As notified by the institute the "condonation of delay" must be written and signed by the Principal on behalf of the Articled Assistant stating proper reasons of delay. without a proper reasons you will not get the permission, you can try as you wish...and see the result...if you are more confused you can call icai..

the application letter (Condonation of delay) should be sent alongwith form '112'... not seperately...hence your 'form 112' contains the permission and the 'condonation of delay application form' contains the request from icai to accept your 'form 112'...

I am enquring because I doubt my principal would care to write a letter for me. If it isn't required, i could write it myself and send as soon as possible. THis is the exact text from the form 112 which doesnt state the principal should write it

Note: In case a student does not comply with the above requirements or violates any of the above
guidelines, his /her article ship period shall not be recognised.
1. In case the articled assistant is pursuing other Course through correspondence / Non-Collegiate,
he is required to attach the copy of the registration letter from the University in this regard.
2. The form should be submitted to the office of the Institute within 30 days. Incase of delay in filing
the form beyond the stipulated period, it has tobe accompanied by a request for condonation
and appropriate condonation fee as per the following schedule:
(i) Delay upto 30 days beyond the initial period Rs. 100/-(ii) Delay between 31 days - 180 days Rs. 300/-(iii) Delay beyond 181 days Rs. 1,000/-

YOU SHOULD MAKE PAYMENT BY DRAFT ON THE FOLLOWING NAME :- "THE SECRETARY, THE INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF INDIA" PAYABLE AT.......................(ACCORDING TO REGION) ALONGWITH CONDONATION LETTER.. ....am frm andhra pradesh...i should make payment to chennai ?....pls help me frnds
