Hi,

I like to register for CS. Presently i am in CA Final. Wil i be exempted frm computer training, of CS if i show the certificate that i went thro CA.

Also, is Practical training mandatory, to be done in CS? If so, can i do the same after completion of Professional program?

Certificate of uccessful completion of the course/exemption test will be given to the students duly signed by ICSI & Aptech.

13)	What should a student do incase of any complaints on operational issues relating to product delivery in any center of APTECH?
Ans:	For any complaint on operational issues relating to product delivery in any center of APTECH, please log on to the web site with your Registration No & password and select "Register complaint" then you can register your complaint & you will get a docket No. For queries kindly contact at supporticsi @ aptech.ac.in Or call us at 022 67727445

14)	What are the minimum number of students for the batch to be initiated in APTECH ?
Ans:	The minimum batch size in all centers in all cities will be 8-10 APTECH will ensure that the batch is immediately started as and when the minimum registration is done. In case the required minimum number of students is not available, APTECH shall not defer the commencement of the batch indefinitely and in any case not beyond (3) three months.

15)	If I have to take a test from the location out of India, how to do it?
Ans:	The student has to pay "Online". The student has to select "International " from the center list .Then we will schedule the test directly from Aptech Mumbai .

16)	What if password is forgotten?
Ans:	If you forget the password, please click on the forgot password option provided below the log in.

17)	Reasons for some errors:
Ans:	a) Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Most likely causes: • You are not connected to the Internet. • The website is encountering problems. • There might be a typing error in the address. b) Invalid Registration No. Most likely causes: • You have not entered correct registration number • The database validation is encountering problems
18)	Will the ICSI-APTECH course being still undergone by the students remain valid?
Ans:	Yes, ICSI-APTECH Course being still undergone by the students will remain valid for a limited time till October / November 2009. The students are requested to ensure the receipt of original certificate jointly signed by the ICSI and APTECH from APTECH
19)	It is made to understand that the services of M/s APTECH Limited have been engaged in providing Computer Training to the students of the Institute. The question is whether the students already undergone and/or still undergoing the requisite training with M/s APTECH shall stand valid for the remaining period.
Ans:	Yes, the candidates who are presently undergoing the Computer Training Program with M/s APTECH shall remain valid for a limited period till October/November`2009.
20)	What shall be the nature of advice if any candidate has already deposited the requisite fee for Computer Training and the classes are yet to be started by the respective nodal agency of M/s APTECH.
Ans:	Since APTECH has already collected the fee, they are supposed to commence the Training Programme immediately and if for any reason they are not able to commence the training, they shall refund the requisite fee to the students. In case of refusal by APTECH Centre either for immediate commencement or refund, students may take up the matter with Directorate of Information & Technology of the ICSI (asit @ icsi.edu) while producing documentary evidence regarding the remittance of fee and/or any communication with such APTECH Centres
21)	What if the students already have undergone successfully the Computer Training Program with M/s APTECH but pending issue of APTECH/ICSI Joint Certificate have only been issued the `Provisional Certificate` in this regard.
Ans:	The students – in this regard – are advised to ensure that they receive the original certificate jointly signed by the ICSI and APTECH from the respective nodal agency of M/s APTECH. Students having already undergone successfully training with M/s APTECH and yet to receive the APTECH/ICSI Joint Certificate; may raise their specific query – indicating complete details - with Directorate of Information & Technology of the ICSI.

Thanks sir for the immediate reply. It is informed in the web site as, computer training is exempted for those who produce certificate frm any institution. I heard as no MOU is between CA and CS institutes. Is it so? Wil i b exempted if i show, certificate frm CA inst. Also who has to appear for Online exam?

NEW TRAINING STRUCTURE

The Council of the Institute has approved new training structure for the students of the Company Secretaries course enrolled on or after 1^st September, 2009.

The New Training Structure includes conducting 7 days Student Induction Programme (SIP), 8 days Executive Development Programme (EDP), 25 hours’ compulsory attendance of Professional Development Programmes (PDP), Management Skills Orientation Programme and other requirements during training period while maintaining the existing duration of training, as under:

I. Duration of training:

The existing period of training of 15 Months will be continued and students are free to undergo training wholly or partly with a Company Secretary in Practice or a Company registered for imparting training.

Further, the existing 15 days training in a specialized agency such as the Office of the Registrar of Companies, stock exchange, financial or banking institution or management consultancy firm for another fifteen days, after passing Professional Programme (Final) exams is continued.

II. Training Programmes:

The three programmes at different stages of the course would be conducted as under:

a). Student Induction Programme (SIP) - Duration - 7 days, to be completed by the students within 6 months of registration to the Executive Programme (Intermediate Exams ) covering the following areas:-

1. English Speaking Skills.

2. Personality Development and Life Skills – Basic

Concepts.

3. Introduction to Course Contents, Electives and Opportunities both in practice and employment.

4. Communication Skills, Writing ability-drafting etc.

5. Usefulness of Reading Newspaper

6. SWOT Analysis

7. Computer Literacy (Basics)

8. Know your Institute

b). Executive Development Programme (EDP) - Duration 8 days, after passing the Executive Programme (Intermediate Exams) covering the following areas:-

1. Personality Development - and Life Skills – Advanced Concepts (Interpersonal Skills, Decision Making Skills, Team Spirit, Negotiating Skills)

2. Computer Literacy and Training (Advance)

3. General awareness of Indian/Global economy, business conditions, Regulatory Insight, Capital Markets, and opportunities

4. Organisation Structure, Role of ROC/CLB/SEBI/SAT /Stock Exchanges/RBI/CCI/ TRAI/NCLT/NCLAT

5. Drafting of Minutes, Notices, Resolutions, Advance business tools such as internet browsing, video conferencing etc.

6. Etiquettes, Inter personal skills, Communication skills, Office culture;

7. Significance of training and Code of conduct applicable during training period

8. Interview Techniques & How to face interviews.

c). Management Skills Orientation Programme (MSOP) – Duration 15 days after passing Professional Programme (Final Exams) covering:-

9. Intellectual Property Rights

10. Arbitration, Conciliation, Alternate Dispute Redressal Mechanism

11. Corporate Compliance Management

12. Areas of Practice –Existing & Emerging

iii) B grade Chapters 1^st April, 2010

IV. Fee structure:

a) Student Induction Programme (SIP) Rs. 1000/-

b) Executive Development Programme (EDP) Rs. 1000/-

V. Applicability:

The new revised training structure will be applicable to the students registered on or after 1^st September, 2009.

VI Attendance in 25 hours Professional Development Programme (PDP):

The students will be required to complete 25 hours of Professional Development Programme (PDP). The Regional Councils & Chapters would allow the students to attend such programmes at concessional rates.

Just listen.

Computer training is exempted but you have to appear for a 70 minute objective exam at Aptech center . Examination Fee is Rs. 450 + 10.30 % service tax.

After clearing exam you will be issued a Computer completion Certificate.

Agree with Manmohan's reply.

But in Aptech they were not giving the exemption merely based on ITT certificate.

They were saying that a certificate is required from ICAI showing the COURSE CONTENTS.

Course contents are not there on ITT Certificate.

You just have to give a letter from ICAI branch where u went for ITT,

specifying the syllabus of ITT course.

For getting such a certificate, give a simple letter stating purpose, Regn no, ITT certificate no and batch details to local branch, alongwith copy of the ITT Certificate.

They will give u the certificate from local branch itself....

If have passed the computer training course at CA PE -II level, you are exempt from going through the computer training at CS Executive level. You only need to apear for its computer test / exam.

I am myself CA - PE II qualified and got the exemption from studying the computer course

Take the attested xerrox of same and on plain white paper write one application to ICSI Director of examinations requesting of exemption from going through course. Submit same to ICSI and don't forget to take acknowledgement of on xerror copy of ur application.
