Yes AS is applicable to trusts also if they are doing any business,commercical or incdcusctrial actcivities.
If trusts are for purely charitable purposes,then AS is not applicabe.
If trusts are doing both charitable and above mentioned activities(Non-charitable),then also AS is applicacble to its entire activity,charitable and non-charitable.
