As a part of our social responsibility, team of CAclubindia.com visited Sulabh Public school to contribute a small donation towards the education of the children of scavengers. We met Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak. a Sociologist, Social activist, and Founder of Sulabh Sanitation and Social Reform Movement, which has
built more than 1000 urinals across the country..
He initiated this task of uplifting the children of scavengers by innovative steps to enable their rehabilitation in society. The Sulabh school Movement started with the objective to liberate and elevate the status of scavengers.
It was great meeting him and listening his thoughts on changing the mindset of the society and about real principles of Ganditav.
After a delightful and traditional honor from Sulabh's Team members, we visited the school. The principle took us for a round to show us the campus. We visited classes from 1st to 10th met the students and played with them also. Class 1st and 2nd student’s recited poems and mantras for us, they were beautiful and energetic. The experience was very warm and awesome. In the end we also visited a small but very informative museum of sanitation and got to know how important sanitation is for development of any society and country.
Education holds the key to any major change and development. And CAclubindia with its objective of sharing knowledge and promoting education have taken its first step towards CSR and also pledged to help the Sulabh students to pursue CA course in future as well, by providing them training ( vocationally ) and guiding them about the course to promote CA as a profession and to help them in adopting one of the greatest professions of our country and world.

Chartered Accountants have a very important role to play in the times to come. At a time when corruption is rampant and the country's growth is at an all time low Chartered Accountants have to live up to their motto of Ya Esha Supteshu Jagriti in practice. You need to awaken the spirit of integrity and transparency in not just financial institutions, companies etc. but in the entire Nation. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate CA Club India on reaching out to 10 Lac subscribers. I'm sure these 10 Lakh will play an important role in Nation Building.
