The ICAI, a premier professional body set up by an Act of Parliament, is looking for highly competent individual to lead, as Director, a team of high profile academicians / experts in different disciplines forming part of the curriculum of the Chartered Accountancy Course, such as, advanced auditing, advanced management accounting, strategic financial management, financial reporting, corporate laws, fiscal laws etc. The Incumbent with leadership qualities, inter-personal skills and excellent communication and motivational skills, will have to be a driving force in reaching the CA Course through distance and e-mode of education to students spread across the country and undertaking key tasks that may include policy formulation, enhancement of quality of the course materials through constant review/updation, innovative ideas, creative/positive approaches, etc. Liaison with Universities, educational and professional bodies, besides assisting the Committee(s) dealing with education – nationally as well as internationally, would also be part of the tasks to be performed.  
The incumbent, should be a Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / Company Secretary/ a high first class Masters degree in Commerce preferably with a doctoral degree, with excellent post qualification exposure in teaching, authorship of books/articles/research work for a desired period of 20 years. Candidates with consistently bright academic record / proven academic work and flair for research will have added advantage and can also be considered for higher start. The emoluments shall not be limiting factor for deserving candidate.  
Relaxation in eligibility condition can be considered for the deserving candidate. However, the decision of the Institute in this regard shall be final. 
Present total monthly emolument, including DP, DA and CCA at Central Government rates and HRA at 35% of the basic pay & DP, is about Rs. 80,000/- at the minimum of the scale including allowances for Car, Magazine and Children Education. Other benefits include CPF, Medical, LTC, Pension, Gratuity, Ex-gratia etc., as per rules applicable from time to time.

Your Profile:-

Job Profile: 
Tasks require good technical knowledge and practical experience in working with 
VPN with Internet Gateways 
Windows 2000/2003 network environment 
Server Knowledge of: Windows 2000/2003 server, SQL server 2000, Sun Cluster with Oracle RAC, BCP and DRP, Qmail server/Oracle Portal Server (website) 
Linux based firewall administration. 
Nortel series routers and Gigabit 2/3 layer switches. 
Working knowledge of the systems software/applications used would be necessary-Oracle Database/Portal Server/Forms 6I/Reports 6i, VB, ASP,/JSP/HTML, SQL Server, Qmail and ERP (Orion)]. 
We also expect from you to: 
Maintain existing hardware / software & specify requirements 
Specify networking requirements / size hardware 
Procure Hardware and Software and negotiate contracts 
Manage various IT sub-contractors including IT related electrical installations/data centers as well as voice and data communications. 
Install Systems & provide operation support. 
Specify and implement software development. 
Be in constant touch with software developer for specifying user requirements, testing and implementation of various modules.
