Sensex closes 70 pts up; weekly gains at 5 pc


The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty extended losses following further fall in rupee and European markets. France's CAC, Germany's DAX and Britain's FTSE were down 1.2-1.7 per cent after disappointing data from Italy.
